Dermatology Residency
We appreciate your interest in our ACGME accredited and osteopathic recognized program in Kirksville, MO. We participate in the ERAS application service and NRMP for both Main Residency Match and Soap. We accept 2 applicants per match cycle, and all applicants will be matching for a PGY-2, R-1 position.
The majority of the rotation time is spent at the innovative 16,000 square foot office featuring seven exam rooms, four surgical suites, a skin spa and an in-house pathology lab. Dr. David Cleaver serves as the program director with Dr. Lloyd Cleaver, Dr. Jonathan Cleaver, and Dr. Nathan Cleaver acting as core faculty. The core training site in Kirksville, MO, is known for its friendly patients, welcoming office staff and bustling Mohs surgery practice. We pride ourselves on this rural program that offers impressive patient pathology, extensive hands-on surgical opportunities for residents and rigorous didactics in a tight-knit family-friendly environment.
We also spend dedicated time at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO, for subspecialty training in pediatric dermatology.

- AT Still University/Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine: Birthplace of osteopathic medicine, National Osteopathic Museum with A.T. Still’s original birth house and the first osteopathic medical school.
- Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health: Innovative dental school on the ATSU campus. The inaugural class started in October 2013.
