Childbirth Education
The birth of your baby is an exciting time! We welcome the opportunity to be a part of your special journey and help you and your family prepare for what's to come.
Educational topics include:
- Developing a birth plan
- Early parenthood
- Hospital care of the mother and newborn
- Relaxation and breathing techniques
- The coach's role
- What to expect during labor and delivery
Classes take place at:
Northeast Regional Medical Center, Conference Room #4 (located on the first floor of the hospital across from the entrance to the Lab)

Class Meetings
One-day Saturday sessions last roughly eight hours, with a one-hour lunch break at noon. Class begins at 9 a.m.
Scheduling
Expectant mothers should begin classes approximately 8-10 weeks before their due date. In the event that you are unable to attend your scheduled time, please contact us, so we can offer the spot to someone else.
Fees
The class is free if you're delivering at NRMC. If you do not deliver at NRMC, the class fee is $25.
What should I bring to class?
Above all, we encourage you to bring your significant other, a relative or friend who will serve as the coach during your delivery.
